Teased for a few weeks under the name CNY, the Nike SB Dunk Low Street Hawker was developed by the artist from Guangzhou Jason Deng, who was inspired by Chinese culinary culture to imagine this pair. The suede toebox, for example, mimics the color and texture of a Beijing green bean soup, where the embossed suede on a side part is inspired by pieces of pita bread from a traditional Xi’an dish, a another soup that infuses the watercolor patterns of a pannel. About twenty similar references are listed by the Swoosh in the presentation of this pair. The Nike SB Dunk Low Street Hawker should release on January 13, 2021 at a retail price of about 110€.
