Even if the inaugural collection quickly ran out on the day of its release, the American equipment manufacturer offers us a new chance to fight against global warming. Indeed, the Space Hippie collection was developed using factory waste, according to the principle of the circular economy, in order to reduce the environmental impact.
All silhouettes have a gray knit upper made from threads from recycled bottles and t-shirts, as well as various scraps collected from the floors of Nike factories. There are also “Crater” soles decorated with a multicolored speckle effect or fluorescent yellow accents instead of orange. Some additional branding on the tongues and heels completes the picture. The Nike Space Hippie 01 Grey Volt should release on July, 16 2020 at a retail price of 120€.
